Does anyone know if Bilstein makes a shock specifically for the third generation trucks ? While price shopping , I'm told by some vendors

that Bilstein hasn't came out with a shock for my 04 yet, but that it

is in development and yet others (incuding GENO'S GARAGE) , have

part numbers listed for this application. I want to make sure I'm ordering

the correct part so what gives? I also noticed that the GENO'S lists a

different Bilstein rear part number for my truck than some other vendors.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction as far as part numbers and where

to find the best deal ? I have a stock suspension.

I have the bilstein 5100 shocks on my stock truck. Here are the numbers I ordered(front)BE5-6681H-5 (rear)BE5-6647-H5,hope this helps. I have had mine installed for the last 18 months and love them. coobie :D

Bilstein is developing/manufacturing a HD seires shock for the 3rd gens. These are new units not revalved units which are currently available. At last check(I am waiting patiently in line for these) which was late May early June they were going to production and to check back in late August early September. Lets see what happens. If you do a serch you will find that it has been discussed before. Oh and for price, the set will run just under 400 for the set but dont quote me on this as prices will be subject to change.

I'll be curious to see how people like the new shocks. On my '95 dually there were two Bilstein shock options, the 7500# GVW and 10,000# GVW. I chose the stiffer (more is better, right?) and found the shocks a little too stiff for unloaded driving.

OK who has decient shocks out there for those of us that are rolling around with a 2wd 2500 and how long do you think the factory crap will last???

Dont laugh the only thing I use it for is my daily driver and back and forth from Fagifornia to Az and back on the weekends!

THANKS
