I have the silver shocks on my truck. My buddy wants to purchase shocks but its unclear to me if the blue and yellows will fit on a truck with stock rear suspension and a front leveling kit. When i bought mine Geno's told me that the blue's won't work with a 2 inch leveling kit. Does anyone know if this is true? He would like to get the blue and yellow because they are specific to the truck as oppose to the silvers which are a universal shock. Thanks in advance.

If he plans to drive the truck much or do any offroading don't get the blue & yellow ones. . . I went through 2 sets on my '96 that barely lasted 10k miles.

Thanks for replies. I guess 5100s it is unless someone has a better idea. He does not do any off roading. Truck is driven on the street 100% and plows all winter long.

I have the Blue and Yellows on my 03 and I have to say the ride improvement was dramatic. They soak up the bumps so much better than the stockers. Heck, even my wife and 91 y/o dad noticed the difference w/o being told I had replaced them.

Your bud will not be dissapointed!

I second PrairieDog. I put the 5100's on my stock suspension and at first was disappointed because I wanted a firmer ride. These shocks are a welcome addition. The back of my Ram would "dribble" over rough roads but not anymore and the ride to me became smoother.

went through this on a 2nd gen ranchos (even 9000) lasted bout 1 month must be gas (nitrogen) hyd. just die on my road

btw im not creapin drivin 20-35mph

sorry bout the hijack

I second ryecreek, what's good? My shocks I put on 3 years seem to be wearing out, the ride is getting a little shakier every day. Want to get a real good strong shock as I will be pulling over 20K GVW on a regular basis.
