Was out 4wheeling becuase fishing was awful over the long weekend, when I noticed an odd klunk coming from driver side wheel. Stopped and looked under the hood and noticed the bushing on top of tower had somehow popped over mounting washer and nut. Luckily the bushing was still in the engine compartment so I put it back on and so far it has stayed. Has anyone else had this problem? Bushing wasn't in good shape either and is less than a year old. Does anyone make a heavier duty bushing maybe? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

How tight are they?

You should have a small washer against the shock shaft, then the rubber bushing the snaps into the hole from the top, then the crush sleeve that slips over the shock shaft and also fits into the id of the rubber bushing, a large flat washer (2" dia) then your nut.

Snug the nut down while holding the shock shaft with a wrench. I think the retainer nut will use the 19mm. A ratcheting box combo "gear wrench" works slick here.

Tighten the nut until it seats lightly against the crush sleeve? It should prevent overtightening...

I haven't had complaints of ones I've installed so far...

Good luck

Andy
