$3. 21 on May 02, 2006

I just went to their office (Bonanza & H St. ) today and set up a gascard account. Then I did some driving around to find the station (Washington & A St. ). I've lived in Las Vegas for 25 years, and I still don't like driving through the getto. When my tank gets down, I'm going to bite the bullet and buy some Bio. I'm real curious about it and it seems like the right thing to do.

Call Stephanie at 702-382-1620 about how to set up an account, she's very pleasant. Note - of the 14 or so pumps there, only 2 (#5 & #6) are B20, the rest are #2. If you want to drive out to their distribution facility in Sloan, you can get B100.

Neil, thanks for the info... I just don't understand how I can justify driving up to the hood when I can by fuel for 30-35 cents a gallon less than 1/2 mile from my home...

I would love to run it, but without being able to buy it at a rate less than # 2, it will be a no go...

Cheers, Bill

I have 65 gallons of #2 onboard right now, so hopefully it will be a while before I get to Bio Diesel. However, I will be burning some of that fuel this weekend as I tow my 5th wheel over to Pahrump for May Madness. Any of you locals going?

How about the Haycock depot on LV Blvd across from Nellis AFB? Can you fill there?

I'm going to Terribles RV park Fri/Sat night. Not related to May Madness - didn't even realize it was going on until this morning. Heading over to break in the new 5er.

Yes

20%, 50%, and 100% respectively.

So far no gripes with B-20, my 01. 5 seems to have lost a bit of its distinctive high-pitched clatter, and maybe a tad bit of power, but the power issue could also be the recent hot weather and the AC being on which coincided with the switch. I do wish it was cheaper than #2.

George, I would call and check the status. The applic splits its time between two offices (office that establishes credit and office that actually programs card and builds the accounts). JJ

Thanks JJ

I called on Thursday and spoke to Stephanie, she said she would leave a note for the lady handling the credit part and have her call me, I'm still waiting on the call or the card in the mail. Normally I would be anxious but I'm heading out on vacation in a couple of days and was hoping to fill my large tank.

I called back a week or so after submitting the app - then they got right on it. But, I already had the card in hand because I went to the office and did a $100 prepay at the same time as submitting the app. The only way to find out what's going on with your account is online. You need your logon and password. Fleetnet.net runs a Java app. It's designed for commercial fleets, so it's a little funky for a single retail customer.

The price is not posted at the pump and you don't get a receipt. So after you fill up, go home, logon, and get the gallons and price. Then you can calculate the $/gal. ($3. 21 on 5/22)

I figure I have about B15 in the tank now. The engine is a little bit quieter and there is a little bit less smoke. That observation is based on knowing Bio is in the tank. If I didn't know, I wouldn't notice. I'll fill up with Bio again next time to up the ratio a little more.

I bought my second tank of B20 today at Haycock and learned something at the pump station. There are 4 card kiosks. #1 has a receipt printer. After pumping, walk over to #1, swipe card, it asks if you want receipt, press Yes, get receipt. The receipt shows the $/gallon. Today, B20 was 3. 179, street #2 was 3. 159

I am just asking a question. I paid 2. 99 yesterday at Sahara and Durango for # 2. Why would I spend 3. 17 for Bio stuff that I am not sure what effect it will have on my truck? Also only have one place in town to buy the Bio fuel, and not a very nice place in town to buy.

I was away fishing in Utah for a week, I got back and finally got my haycock cards. I topped off my tank today then came home and read your post LOL. Good info, I'll know next time.

I haven't seen diesel under $3 for a while, was that the Chevron on the Northeast corner?

Biodiesel is made in America (B100 at least), grown by farmers, not pumped from Arabia. It has better lubricity & higher cetane than petro diesel, and is biodegradable (safer in the environment). Granted, B20 is only 20% Bio / 80% petro, but it's a step in the right direction.

I feel good about it. Money well spent at 2 or 3 bucks a tankful. You can pay that for a beer, and the good feeling is when you **** it out :-laf

I bought it for 2. 99 at the gas station in the Smith's parking lot on the southeast side. It use to be a Rebel station. The place on the northeast side is now a speedymart, and does not sell #2.
