IP Timing with WVO?

Hey fellas,

I've checked the usual websites trying to find bio-diesel in NW Arkansas and they all show the closest retailer to me is at least 150 miles away. So, if anybody knows where I could buy some from a retailer or where a guy can source the methanol and NaOH or KOH I would be grateful. !! Thanks in advance for any help

Also, I have a commercial mowing business and my mowers all have the 28 HP Kubota diesel engines in them. Does anyone see a problem using bio in these engines? They are either gravity feed from the tank to the injector pump or the injector pump sucks it out of the tank. Not sure which.

Tri-Lakes petroluem in Branson Mo will sell you any ratio you want. As long as its is delivered in bulk to your location. I keep planning on having a 300 gallon tank set myself.

excellent! Do you have any idea what the current price for B-100 is? Also, is there a delivery charge? I'm about 85 miles from Branson so It is feasable to drive there and buy it in bulk if I have to. Thanks for the lead.

I discovered a guy in my area that is making it. I talked to him on the phone the other night and he is willing to let me come over and take a look at his operation. He said he is on this board so "James. H" if you read this, thanks for all the info and the hospitality you extended to me on the phone Sunday evening!! Oo.

I called Tri-lake today and the gentleman i talked to said If I came up to him and buy b100 it would be around $2. 55 gallon. Sounds pretty sweet to me. I don't know if the price is quantity dependant or not though.

I think he requires something like 7000 gallons in order to get a bulk discount. I had talked to him about delivering B20 out to my place and it was priced competitively with normal diesel. The price of the bulk tanks are outrageous so I have been checking out local farm auctions in hopes of finding one.

I went over to the fellas house that makes the bio-diesel and I have to say... ..... it's not that hard. I had it built up in my head to be some uber difficult process, but it's really not. James (the guy who makes it) did a great job of walking me through the whole process. He has been doing it for a couple of years and has it down to an art form at this point. 1 of the clever things he added that I liked was an extra barrel used exclusivly for settling the bio after it's been processed. This allows him to make 2 batches the same day and allows for the glycerol to settle out before it's moved to the wash tanks. Nobody may care but I thought I would post this in case anyone does.
