State house passes bill to encourage production of biodiesel

Interesting news article (this link will probably only be good for a few days) about proposed tax incentives to encourage production and drive down costs.

Biodiesel is pretty interesting. My son just finished his Science project on biodiesel, and he made some biodiesel at a lab at the Univesity of Montana. They are running a bus at the college on B20 made from the fat frers on campus. The student I was talking to makes about 500 gallons a week and is trying to go commercial. I havent been brave enough to try it in my truck. But with the price of diesel the use of biodiesel is becoming more economical to make.



Oh by the way my son finished with a blue ribbon and possibly is going to compete at State.

I like the concept of bio-diesel. Hopefully, they will cure the shelf life issue with something as simple as POU blending.
