biodiesel fuel lines

what grade fuel lines do i need for B100. I have the means of getting the biodiesel and the fuel lines need to be changed on the truck anyways, so what can handle B100?

As I understand it, higher concentrations of BIO will eventually degrade natural rubber components, look for viton, which is a synthetic substitute for rubber. I believe all the OEM components on our CTD rigs are good to go for pure biodiesel. I have looked far and wide for info on rubber parts in our engines and have not found any.

What year is your truck. Most trucks built in the 90's on out don't have a problem with the lines.

B100 here for almost a year with no problems. I think anything after 92 is ok, bio tolerant lines were being used from then on.

well, i might just replace the lines with oem then. the lines on the truck right now are cracked and need to be replaced immediately. i thought it was because of the biodiesel, but maybe eigth years of weather exposer will do that. thanks,

Tygon or Teflon lines will work. Ebay has them for around 40-50 bucks for a 25 foot section. Dealer prices for the lines may run you even more.

yes, must be viton, rubber will dissolve over time.

cracking is not usually from biodiesel. Bio will dissolve the rubber lines. Look for Dayco fuel injection line it has a viton inner layer and is fairly inexpensive(3-$4 per foot. )

any NAPA or PEP Boys will have the right line for you. Look for USCG approved fuel line in the size you need.
