Not to get too far off the subject, but, I found a beer that tastes great. It comes in a bottle shaped like a little brown jug. It is called Mississippi Mud. It is a black and tan beer, with excellent taste. I bought it for the bottle a while back and when I tasted the beer, I was hooked. My tastes run towards good German beer, and some stouts.

Has anyone else tried Mississippi Mud?? If not, find some, try it, and pass the word.

We used to get birch beer in Connecticut, back in the sixties, while visiting my grandparents. I've tried a few brands in recent years and have been disappointed as smooth as the stuff in the past. A few weeks ago, I mail ordered some Boylan's Original Birch Beer. It's pretty good, but still not as smooth as I was hoping. I've never tried to make a float from birch beer, so I think I will try it that way and see how I like it.



Patriot - I'll see if I can get the Stop & Shop brand online and give it a try.

Doc, it's the clear type. It's something like . 89 for a two litre bottle.

I aint no conniseur, but I like it.

I just ordered a root beer sampler for the next year. They send six bottles of two brands, once a month, for twelve months. Now I get to try root beer from all over

Then ill have to look into it. RC cola used to make a soda called RC DRAFT and it was great, it has been impossible to find though. Supposedly it was Cola brewed like draft beer with real cola nuts or whatever the deal was. All i know was it was good.
