When I go around a right hand turn on a slightly bumpy road, I get a squeak from inside the cab that sounds like a little bird chirping. Has any body had this type of squeak? I'm a Lexus tech and am pretty picky when it comes to squeaks. I can even hear it over the straight pipe and radio. Any help whould be great.

There are several threads on this. Try spraying or soaking the steering shaft u-joint with a light oil. It's the one directly under the brake fluid / master cylinder thingy. If it comes fron the corner of the dash where it meets the A pillar try TSB 23-19-00, it worked for me.

Texas Diesel, I looked on Fritz's sit and could not find that TSB. Is there some other place I can look, or where can I find it. I have that squeak that sound like it is coming from the A-piller area.

Look on page 95 of issue #34 of the TDR. The actual TSB says the noise can be reproduced if you jump Oo. on the corner of the front bumper, in my case that did not happen but they did the TSB anyway and it totally cured the problem. If you need I can scan and email the info in the TDR magazine. Good luck.

( I finally found a use for the "jumping" smilie !! )

I have this same problem sometimes on a bumpy road as well. I have done this TSB and I still have the problem. I think it might be coming from the door rubber rubbing against the door. Problem is worse when wet. I just turn up the radio:rolleyes: .

I had the same problem and oiled the shaft at the joint and now its gone. Before I could have sworn it came from inside the cab, but it wasnt.
