I made arrangements today for some DD3's. Originally was thinking of just going with 275's but the price has gone up and I felt like if I was gonna spend the money I would spend it on something stronger. You can check out the signature, I already have a comp box, from what I gather here unless I am misinterpreting I should expect that with the DD3's in and the box off and acting just as a boost fooler I should feel about the same as I did with the stock injectors and the comp on level 4. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Now my understanding is that with the box off I should be able to hook up my trailer and for the most part EGT's will be good. I anticipate I may have to watch it on the steeper grades. This leaves the comp as a play time add-on but probably too much for every day cruising. I already straight piped the exhaust and am running a BHAF, with the comp on 5x5 I have never been able to put EGT's above 1300* and never sustained anything over 1200*. If I leave the Comp on 5x5 right now my average EGT @ 75mph (2700 rpm) is about 750* when running empty.
I don't want to have to go to a larger exhaust as I love the sound I already have and I already have the pac brake and everything installed.
Is there any pitfalls you guys see to my approach or understanding?
I don't plan on doing anything else to the drive train, in all honesty I am already more than happy with the power I have, the injectors are mostly because it is supposed to be easier on the pumps.
Thanks for any input you can offer.
