2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Black ABS bumper cap turns grey

Everytime I wash my truck I go over all the ABS black with armour all and it looks great.

But ever since new the black cap (only on the front bumper) will turn grey right away. If water hits it forget it it turns downright ugly. All the rest stay looking good.

So is this a common problem? I have seen other Rams that look the same way and then others theat look great.

I have tried many products and none seem to make it stay nice longer.

I am thinking of replacing it.

Roger Some of the problem maybe the Armorall. I use Mother's Back to Black. That has always worked for me.

I'm with Bob on this. I've used Mother's on mine too. Looks great for a long time.

Same thing with Mothers

I liked the Back to Black product but the same thing happens. The dealer told me the plastic was etched... so what does that mean/

My door handles and tail gate handle use to do the same thing. I used good old black shoe polish over a year ago and the white film still has not come back.



Give it a try in an inconspicious place and see what you think.
