I have a question for all you 24-valve gurus. I recently joined the dark side and purchased a 2001. 5, 3500 Automatic. I am looking for a "black box" that uses the pyrometer signal to limit the fueling at a preset value. Do any of the vendors on this board offer such an animal? Thanks DBR

As far as I know...

its only Banks and their Optimind.

TST has one or two that monitor it... but I don't think they do anything more than just watch... ie leave it up to the pilot.

TST Powermax³ I believe does that function. I remember hearing it talked about.

I haven't really sought out the info on that subject but I'll dig into it. The way I see it, I want to control it, because I want power when I want it, not when the "box" allows me to have it #ad

Try www.bluechipdiesel.com ... they have a setup like you are looking for... it is programmable to cut fuel at a certain temp, has the digital guages built in, and will also give ya lots of power cause it works with the 4 wire blue box!
Love my Blue Box!

When I installed my 10-level Powermax3 I noticed there were two extra wires labeled "pyro",so I emailed Mark at TST and asked if the Powermax has a limiting program built into it. He said the latest Powermax3 with the remote does not,but he his coming out with an optional remote very soon where presets and boost and pyro readings will be all displayed on the remote itself.
He did send me a catalog with a pic of the new remote. When it's available the new remote will be about $300 extra ontop of the price of the Powermax3.

Hey Rob,
No,I'm still at my dads in Commiefornia until Saturday. The trip down in my truck was good because of it's size... I got heavy rain and/or snow the whole way down.
