The National Transportation Saftey Board recently divulged that they had covertly funded a project with the U. S. auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing black boxes in the 4x4 wheel drive pickup trucks in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 45 of the 50 states the last words of drivers in 61. 2 percent of the fatal crashes were "Oh, Hell!"

ONLY the states of Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama and Texas were different, where over 89. 3 percent of the final words were: "Hold my Beer and watch this!!"

The news media always refers to the "black boxes" in airplane accidents. Even my wife tells everyone that the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorders are the only boxes in an airplane that ARE NOT BLACK. They are bright yellow or orange to make them easier to find.

Murle, another thing said in those states was "Hold my beer and watch this. I saw this done in a movie once". If time permitted.

The box is only black on the inside until you take the cover off. Then the light shines on it. Of cousre, no one really knows for sure that it's black inside with the cover on. Sort of like the refrigerator light.
