What is the black cylinder on the passenger side of the motor under the exhaust? This may be a dumb question but I have no idea what the hell it is. No one answered mt question, Who has the best injectors???? Thanx, Dan.

Dan,

If you are asking what I think you are, the cylinder is about 3" diameter and a foot or so long. It is the Automatic transmission oil cooler. It's located just under the exhaust manifold toward the rear of the engine.

Best injectors? you will get lots of answers on that question, most will be different. I have the PW injectors, gave lots of power, slightly rough idle.

If your truck is A/T with the HD/tow package you have 2 coolers, the black cylinder is a heat exchanger into the engine coolant, farther forward is an A/T radiator driver's side of your A/C condensor.

Must be something for the automatic as I don't have one. I believe I did answer your injector question. I've tried both the Power Wagon injectors and the Lucas injectors. Lucas are the best in that they flow the most fuel. I did see some one with a conversion that was running 370's. Not sure about these injectors because I've never run them.
