Any Black hawk guys out there working goverment contracts for the Military. Know of any job openings even for other army helicopters like OH-58's, Etc. Companys like Lear Siegler, Raytheon, Dyncorp, Etc.

Just curious! Im looking around.

I used to work at Keystone Helicopter and we had a contract to paint quite a few blackhawks, took an A&P or two to assemble etc. No heavy work was done however

Thanks Ron for the site. Im gonna check it out.

Will I work for Lear Siegler Services, Inc. now up here in Anchorage, Alaska. Im on road contract team and I used to travel like every 2-4 months and do 500hr phase maitenance for Army National Gaurds. This contract has lasted 3 yrs and now there telling us we may not get extended. I do AVUM and AVIM maintenace if your familiar with army aviation. Do alot of wrench turning and some sheet metal when they need me. I have no A+P though. I dont have any recipe time and that kicks my ass when it comes time to getting the P ticket. I was just wondering if there was any other army mechanics out here that are civilians working for contractors like these just to chat and to see if any know of any openings or need mechanics.

I was a Huey and OH58 Crewchief many years ago; I got out and went to school for my A&P License. I did not finish because the labor rate was to low back then; but if you're going to work on civilian aircraft you need to invest the time to get an A&P. I changed schools and majors; wound up with degrees in engineering and business. There are civilian aviation jobs at most Army Post with aviation detachments. Best of luck in whatever you decide.
