The Gathering(Meeting)

Austin get together

Wow, my first CTD gathering! What Smoke! Black, white, we had it all. Met several TDR'ers and the fine folks at BMD. Saw DD3 install, twin turbos, 19. 5 wheels, stacks, dumps, Edge, TST, gauges mounted EVERYwhere, BHAF's, Scotty's, aFe's, torque plate adjustment, ATS burnout--and more.

No ebrakes. :( I bought a BH test gauge and a BHAF.

I was late (Nashville road work) getting to the meeting place where Got Smoke and I where going to hook up, so they had left. So I drive a bit quickly looking to catch up with them. Never saw 'em. Arrive, eat, look around a bit--and in comes GS. I had passed them when they stopped to eat. I guess I'm due a ticket.

So driving back I thinks, hey what the heck good is a BHAF in the box? I whipped into a rest area and slapped it on. GOOD GAWD what sound! It's like the turbo came into the cab. I may put the SR back in. I know that the HP didn't change, but she definitely spools a bit faster and just sounds like total stink!:D (highly recommended)

Going to check the pressures now, calculate MPG, rotate some tires (equalize the LS load), lose the pill bottle. And SELL that FORD for bomb money.

Thanks Tom, and can we do this again next year?

And I do love my truck, but after 8 hours Monday, 7 hours Thursday(tailwind:D) and 10 hours yesterday (5+5), I've had jest about all the interstate I can stand for a while. I've put 6000 miles on my truck in 7 weeks!

man I wish I could have made it but I think Melissa would have kicked my butt if I missed Dustins birthday party good luck on the new shop Tom see you soon George

Dang you Wade! You beat me in posting! :p Only because when I got home last night I went into town to see my g/f, and other friends. Then proceeded to get home at 1 and in bed (after checking TDR;) ) by 2.

By the way what did Tom end up pricing BHAF's for?! I didn't even look in the office yesterday, and didn't even realize it till I was on the road. Daniel took me in there for 2 seconds to show me some pictures and then we went out in his truck.

Still need to get some pictures up. Man am I gonna get in trouble. Everybody introduced theirselves to me at the GO, but I can't remember anybodies name now!

Was fun going home!! Lost a couple of Mustangs:eek: , one in KY at a stop light(honestly didn't mean too, cause I could still see it). Got into town and a friend got behind me going up a hill I short shifted 4th gear and layed into it and at 8:30 at night I couldn't see the red-orange mustang!:--) :D :-laf

BIG Thanks goes out to Daniel (CMNS PWR) for taking out the rack stop. Oo. I can already tell the tank I just put in after getting back last night is not gonna last!:{

Pics from BMD coming soon... ...

I'm jealous, now you really GOT SMOKE! I'll get mine soon enough. I didn't mean to run off, I was just hot and dry and after getting some whistle wetters, hit the road back. That was at 4.

I got the last BHAF out of stock ($40) and the next guy got the one on display.

I put the SR back in and it is still as loud or maybe louder than the stock box with the SR out. I posted my LP pressures in the Newby forum---still have the gauge taped to the windshield, which is great until it rains, BTDT.

I had a good time with the exception of the heat and humidity. I just can't seem to take it too long anymore. I think I purchased the first bhaf from Tom as he knew I was coming to get one and he said he only had three in stock. I didn't get to meet many people as I was kept busy with the ones I already knew. I did like the turnout. I wonder who would have received the longest distance travelled award? Maybe we could talk Tom into having this an annual event. I'll catch up with any of you who may be going to the Scheid Extravaganza next month.

It was a fun time, thanks to all of you for your support. Mark and Gina Chapple of TST Products www.tstproducts.com paid us a surprise visit, it was nice to have them ! I sold out of PowerMax3 boxes, all to local friends & customers. So Kentucky is a TST powerhouse now. :D Even the Carlisle, KY pull promoter, Ian, showed up. (Carlisle is about 25 miles from our shop)

Many friends drove long distances to show me their support, and to assist. Events and business ventures like this are simply not possible without the support of good friends ! To all of you, my heartfelt thanks. And yes, we'll do it again next year, but later in the year, our northern friends are not happy about the southern heat & humidity! :)

Briar Hopper!

Thanks for the great grand opening, nice turnout!

People from Michigan, North Carolina (right?), Tennesse, Indiana, Kentucky (of course).

Yeah, I bought the Display BHAF once I found out what the price was!

Thanks Tom and Crew for putting on a great event!

It was a fun day. (And night. ) I took 175 pics with my brandy-new digital camera. Now I just have to find room somewhere to post them for all to see.

Thanks, Tom. Good luck with your venture!

THANKS fest3er! I thought I had forgotten my digi-cam and therefore took absolutely no photos, and then found my camera after I got home.

It was in the passenger door pocket. I musta slung it out of the seat on a turn somewhere. Oh, well, it's not the first cargo shift I've experienced.
