Where is the best place to get stock injectors?

When I'm in 5th or 6th gear, and the rpm's are up around 1900 or greater, if I gradually floor the accelerator, I can get a pretty good stream of black smoke out of my tailpipe. My truck is completely stock and I thought that these trucks didn't smoke at all when they were stock.

Anyone else's stock truck do this?

I'm wondering if there's an injector issue or something.

I notice a lot more smoke on my manual trans '06 than my previous auto trans trucks. I think that you can load the engine harder and until the boost comes up you get smoke. By 2500 rpm I suspect the smoke is gone because the turbo has caught up, that is how mine is anyway.

Has this done this since day 1? If not, how hot has it been by you? Hot air is less dense and will smoke more. just my . 02

I forgot to mention that I recall seeing more smoke in the "600" versions I have owned than I ever remember with my 305/555s. I suspect it is normal unless we are talking about a thick black cloud.

If it is an injector issue, smell the oil, or better yet have an analysis done to see if it is contaminated.

Same here.

Loaded up smarty and it's a constant haze going down the freeway now.

Funny thing was. . I got 19. 3 MPG on my first tank.

With the new tires, and smarty on SW 3... Down to 15. 1! :O

My 05 auto smokes pretty good when ya get on it. A pretty good haze shooting out with some good velocity from the tailpipe. . my truck is stock cept for a modded CPS sensor. .

very normal I think.

Mine smokes a bit. It doesn't bother me. Quarter panel does tend to get black quickly, tough. I'm thinking about a cat delete pipe so my exhaust will at least smell like a diesel, and it'll save the cat some abuse if I put it on later to sell the truck.

I have an '04 6 speed and if I pour on the throttle just right in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear I looks like i am coming down the road in a locomotive :) and i am 100 % stock

But it will not do it if I just mash the go pedal down it has to be a very smooth fluid motion...

hmmm im kinda mad i have a stock 03 2500 and it doesnt smoke at allllll is there somethin wrong? havent towed any thing yet so i dont know if it will smoke with a load yet but i would like to put stacks on it maybe that'll help

My '03 and '01 (both HO) made very minimal smoke when stock, pretty hard to get any unless the weather was hot. The '01 smoked the least but it made less HP too.

wifes '06 was new and we took a trip to see my brother in scranton pa ...

it was late, i was cranky due to tailgating city sheeple and took off from a light pretty hard and almost fainted to see a black stream roll across a little hondas headlights ...

wife has loved it ever since ...

pull out at an idle ... let the clutch fully engage and stomp the pedal ...

nice little stream of coal ...

Mine smokes a lot. I live at around 9,000+ feet and it is worse here than say a Denver altitude. I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal. Funny thing it- I noticed more black smoke since running the ULSD:confused:

I have no noticable loss in power or milage.

Yeah, Just the other day I saw a brand new CTD making a right turn and when he rolled it on out of the turn he put out a significant amount of black smoke. Still had dealer plates. I was a little surprised at how much it smoked especially with ULSD. . Guess they have some decent uhhhmph in em for stock trucks.

What doesn't make sense is with all the emission controls especially on the new 6. 7s there should be much less visible smoke than say the 24 valve trucks. So little as to be practically impossible to see IMO. Particulate matter emission requirements have been reduced dramatically since the 1998 rules took effect for which the 24-valve engine with electronic control was developed.
