I know I've heard people comment before about the best wax and polish system for a black truck, but I guess we can't search material before the server change? Anyway, I think it was Zaino bros, but I can't remember. Can anybody give me a little help on the matter? I'd really like a nice glossy finish, but my main concern is getting rid of existing swirl marks.

To get rid of swirl marks use 3M's Swirl Mark Remover, it works excellent. If they are still visible, you can use the 3M Hand Glaze to cover up the remaining marks. I prefer the 3M products and have achieved excellent results on every vehicle I've used them on.

I've heard plenty of good things about Zaino, but I read somewhere that it can harden the paint to the point it could possibly crack. I don't know if there is any truth to this, and I know many members are using it with excellent results. I just thought I'd mention it.

I have a 2001. 5 Black Sport and have been using Mothers 3 step system. It is really excellent. Step 1 is a Cleaner/oxide remover. Step 2 is a Sealant/Glaze. Step 3 is Carnauba Wax. It works great and no swirl marks. I can tell you this, with a Quad cab long bed, when you do all three steps initially, you know you've done something!!

Personally I like Meguires products especially the Mirror Glaze line. They make a swirl remover that works excellent. I use the # 7 Show Car Glaze followed by a coat of #26 Yellow Wax. Really makes the truck shine plus it will bead for 5-6 months (at least for me).

Everyone has their favorite wax products and I am not knocking anything else, just saying what works the best for me.

I just started using Zaino on my black truck a few months ago and I think it is very good stuff. I also think Meguiars is very good but just a word of advice, make sure you use a car wash that does not remove waxThis is a problem I had a while ago(bottle said it did not but it actually did) Zaino and Meguiars both have excellent soaps that do not harm the wax. Zaino also says you only have to use it 2 times a year but we will see on that one. I think the whole kit runs about $50. 00

I have a black truck and I use Zymol. It is the best I have used. It is a little time consuming because you put it on 2foot square then wipe it off. After doing the truck you then use a spray bottle and spray a little water on it and wipe it off. The results are amazing. I use all there products and am very pleased with them.
