Blackstone raised prices

I have been dealing with blackstone for over 2 years now. they have always charged me $16. 00 even the one I send mid Devcember and was invoiced for on Dec 31st. The sample I sent in in Jan was invoiced at $17. 00. Has anyone else received a price increase??? If so, How much??.

Are there any recommendations for a good oil analysis company at a lower price, or volume discount?

I to had been paying $16. 00. I just sent in a sample about two weeks ago. I gave them my credit card info to pay for it. When I got the report back there was a letter included that stated they were going to raise the price to "some" of their customers. No dollar figure was mentioned so I was waiting for my statement to find out how much they raised it. $17. 00 is still cheap for the peice of mind. And besides, they said that my 6500 mile change interval was not to much. So I'll save money in the long run with reduced maintainance cost.

They did not include a letter with my report about the price increase. I get invoiced at the end of the month for all of my equipment, and they just changed it to 17. 00 with no notice. That is not a way to do business. I run a transportation business and if I raised prices to my customers without prior notice, they'd :a. laugh, or b: tell me to take a hike.

Is Blackstone a source for oil (or other fluids) anlysis? If so, I'm looking for that! What's their contact info?

JGrady, Blackstone Labs they do oil analysis. There are a few others, but I have never used any but Blackstone, so can't provide any info on them. Don't know if they analyse anything other than engine oils.

Guys, just checked their website, and the site lists the analysis price at $18. 50!!
