being born and raised in north carolina, nascar was always something that i watched with my buddies on the tv and never really understood what the big deal was. about ten years ago, i started watching the live feeds of the races on the dish, and finally "got it" i was hooked after that, and try to watch every race, when im not working weekends. guys, something is wrong here, there are way too many guys being killed in these bodystyle cars, by the same thing, to just say its a bad stretch of luck. think about the changes in the winston cup cars from the muscle car to the monte carlo, grand prix, etc. they are getting more and more aero and streamline, but also the deadliest race car out there today. its time to wake up and smell the roses , nascar, we like action, and of course wrecks create the most excitement to novice fans. but us oldtimers are starting to get real tired, real fast, of seeing these young [and older] drivers killed. somethings wrong, and needs to be addressed.
