What type of insurance would pay for that type of Damage?

It is vandalism. Some of the Home owner policys will cover it, if was at home when the vandalism occurred. It would be worth your time to find out even if it occurred on the road.

Comprehensive coverage on your auto policy, subject to your deductible. Vandalism is a covered peril. Your Homeowners policy won't extend coverage to your truck/auto, AFAIK.

Just to clarify, if its an 03, which Opiefire said it was, it has a CP3, not a VP44, not that it really matters. Though, with the reputation of the VP maybe it does... .

Yes I think the test done on mythbusters (a show on discovery channel) would be more devistating than worrying about rubber seals and such. The bleach washes down the cylinder walls of all oil and the piston rings weld themselves to the cylinder walls. The show tried many substances in different engines to see what messes them up the most, including sugar. The only thing that made an engine sieze up completely was bleach.

Locking Fuel Door Strength?

I too purchased Genos Billet locking fuel door. It doesn't fit as well as I would like, but is bolted to the fender with four good sized bolts. If someone has an allen wrench, they could try to lossen the bolts, but the nut will turn and they wont get very far.

What experience do TDR members have with the effectiveness of these fuel doors? At the least they will slow vandals down.
