Fom 96 service manual,

" Clutch linkage, the clutch master cylinder, remote reservoir, slave cylinder and connecting lines are all serviece as an assembly. These components cannot be serviced seperatley. The linkage cylinders and conneting lines are sealed units. They are pre-filled with fluid during manufacture and must not be disassembled nor disconnected.
 
I have pumped and pumped and pumped and then let it sit with the front end pointed upward overnight. Go back out in the morning, pump and pump and pump, and point the front downward for the day. It is a bit retarded and frustrating, but it has worked for me. I am now nearing 5K on a rebleed after the rollpin holding the line into the slave cylinder took a dump.



Question- if it is a sealed system, sold as a unit only, why are the parts availabel seperately, both from DC and the local parts stores?

Just did my after-market one... ..... Un-bolt the slave from bell housing, take the lid off the resivour, you should have a 2nd person to help.....



Have the 2nd person stand up top and watch the resivour with the lid off, and the other person needs to go underneath the truck and SLOWLY push the slave rod in and i mean SLOWLY as the person up top can watch for small air bubbles to bubble from the liquid... .



Push the slave in and let out very slow probably 10 times or so or until your 2nd person cant see anymore bubbles and you should be air free and the system has now been bleed...



Put cap back on and bolt slave cylinder back into bell housing...



Thats how i did mine and it is all fixed now.....
