OK...i used the Heater Treater to get the SS Part to replace the plastic one on my 01 Blend Door. Now, for some reason I must have reversed the connectors inside the motor, because now the Heater Control is backwards AND is either VERY HOT or COLD (AC on HIGH):--) My question....do I need a new Actuator (which appears to be very hard to find) or simply change the connectore on the motor? If all the problem is that the direction of the Temp Control was backwards I could live with that...BUT NOW,,,it is as theough you have 2 settings..ARCTIC and Panama  I'm thinking maybe the computer is confused with this setting....thoughts please....

I just did the Heater Treater on my truck. If you read the instructions closely they say watch out for flipping the motor. So your unit is working backwards. I marked mine with a marker when I took it apart. It's an easy mistake to make. Hope this helps.

No it s not hard except for one screw which you can barely get too and need one of those short right angle screwdrivers helps (kind of like a little allen wrench). The instructions that come with the heater treater are sort of good. Perhaps I lucked out hooking it up again mine ended up working fine. If you need it you should be able to tell. What happens is you either have full heat or full cold no in between. The knob moves just the temp doesn't change until you get to a point where it changes all the way to the other extreme. On mine I thought I had noticed that I would have to move the knob farther and farther to get any temp change and then it was obvious that it was either full hot or full cold. the job took me approx. 30-40 minutes. The hardest part is getting that hidden screw back in. IIRC they suggest using a stud and nut which I did. The issue is the little plastic collar splits or strips mine did in fact have a small split it in

The text of the web site is incorrect. At least until '97 the blend door is cable actuated, not electric motor.
