I believe it is the 91% stall. It is smooooooooooooth. I actually thought that my BullyDog pup was messed with, as it was with the truck during the transmission install. It felt like it was on the extreme setting, but it was still on performance. I set it back to stock, it feels like twice the horse power with the BD Power taransmission transfering the power. Oh, I wish I would have went this route the first time...

The ATS stall was 89%, I believe... If you are looking at a transmission upgrade, give some serious thought to the BD Power set up, totaly AWESOME!!! Just hope it lasts!

I was told by DTT that they do BD's transmissions. I'm not sure about the details, but after being on the phone with both ATS and DTT this morning, sounds like DTT is definately the way to go. ALOT stronger fluid coupling from what I gather, ='s more power to the ground.

Chrysler T&C

MichaelWright:

I have a 2002 T&C. It has been nothing but trouble since day one. AC problems, powersteering pump, ecm, doors won't open (electric sliding doors), strut "bump" sounds, erratic idle, eats batteries.

To top all this off, you know how crappy DC is on warranty issues, and some items like the AC controls, they can't fix no matter who pays????

To me, the only reason to buy Dodge/Chrysler is for the RAM/Cummins combo. If you're not gettin' the cummins, don't buy from DC. The cummins makes it just "barely" worth the trouble.

I am thinking of getting a mini van, a Chrysler Town & Counry Touring, with the Celine Dion interior. Some bling bling wheels and tires...

Oh, man... . nooooo.

How 'bout a Dodge Sprinter conversion. Turbo diesel!!!

I'm sure you can bomb that one, too!

michael,

ATS would not warranty the transmission? let us know what blew internally.

Michael did not buy a complete ATS transmission. He purchased a Valve Body, TripleLok Converter, and a Commander. Why would ATS warranty a transmission failure that was caused by a STOCK pump failure????

edit:

By the way - ATS never received a phone call about this failure either... If ATS doesn't know about a problem, how can ATS fix a problem?

Wondering the same thing. If the pump in their valve body went and took out the rest of the transmission, seems they would have a bill to pay. 3 year warranty.

Pumps are not contained in the Valve Body. They are two completely different creatures... Nothing to do with one another.

ATS doesn't have "%" converters - given all of the variables (HP, torque, ambient temperature, fluid temperature, load, etc) it's impossible to have a fixed percentage converter... Think of it this way. If you put an 89% converter in the truck, and you're sitting at a stoplight, you are at 0% efficiency (motor turning, wheels aren't). If you are locked up, it's 100% efficient. ANY lockup converter on the planet is 1%, 20%, 50%, 70%, 89%, 91%, 93%, 98%, and all those other percentages efficient at different points in time. Where is the 89% or 91% or 93% efficiency coming from? Please, somebody explain this to me... .

Hehehehe - you might want to call Brian at BD to get the REAL scoop on this... PM me if you need the number.

ROTFLMAO
