From the information contained in your signature your application requires a quality upgraded transmission. They are pricey so be prepared to spend some money.

There are several well known quality builders discussed often in TDR. I formerly owned a DTT built by a man in TX. Goerend is another name with an excellent reputation. I recommend you search on TDR and decide which you prefer.

If you are in Chicago check out TSI transmission. 1-630-458-0071 Don built my transmission and I have no complaints and have sent several people his way with no complaints.

Thank you for the replies. Could not find any help in Chicago, ended up hiring 53 foot flatbed wrecker to transport the Ram & my 22 foot enclosed trailer with two motorcycles 200 miles to my home trans builder. They can't get to it for a few days but I'm home; Sturgis was worth it. The trans was suppose to be bullet proof so it will be interesting to see what happened.

Having the same local transmission builder build you another "bullet proof" transmission is not likely to provide any better results but its your money, your truck, and your decision.

I hear you, but after 38 years as an aircraft mechanic I know parts break no matter what you pay for them & my customers couldn't pull off the road & get a wrecker. I'm willing to give them a chance, we both want to learn.

Follow up; shop just tore down & found planetaries gone, lots of metal, so they can't save the heavy duty torque converter. They can't explain it as we were cruising down the interstate just fine when it happened. They said the new gears are now steel instead of aluminum. Waiting for big bill.

The aluminum explains it all!!! That should be a mandatory parts change on all dodge auto's. They are light duty at stock power.
