That kind of stuff just leaves me I tried to find a radio for my '72 Jimmy last year, and just about everything you see now is similarly pimped-up - huge blinking lights, non-functional analog guage "swoops", multi-colored dreck galore.



This is stuff that people would have been ashamed to put in their vehicles back in the DISCO era, for cryin' out loud. Most of the radios I found looked like something you would see installed in a 1970's era velvet tiger-stripe pimp hat, or maybe the front panel of a cheap slot machine.



They ought to package 'em with a radio ball and a cheap plastic air wing: "LOOKS PIMP AND MAKES YOUR CAR FASTER!"

Is that just backlit neon blue or does the whole unit glow blue?

Looks kinda like the face-plate glows. I love the Night-Watch feature on my Cobra 29 and 25 radios at night IF I have to make an adjustment, but that neon radio just looks stupid.

Yuck!

Reminds me of the bling stereo decks out now with lots of flash and tiny buttons and knobs.

I added a power amp, dash speakers and kept the factory deck instead.
