ATTN: Lighting Gurus,

I am thinking about getting the side markers to blink left and right. I was going to run the ground for the left side markers through the normally closed pins on a relay and have the tail blinker signal open it up,and do the same for the right with another relay. Does that sound like a plan.

That is one way of doing it. Most vehicles that the marker flash you will notice that they flash opposite of the turn signals. It is because the factory grounds the markers through the turn signals. When the turn signal light is on the marker get power to both sides of the bulb and goes out.

Someone had a real nice diagram on here the other day about how to do it. I forget which forum it was in, but do a search. Good luck.

JCB,

Do they make an all in one relay that takes the place of the two? I'm thinking of the relays used for the lights on my snowplow that switch between truck lights and plow lights. I just bought one, but don't know what it was called. About $11 at NAPA.

what are the micro relays. I'm accumulating quite a few relays myself. If I had any idea, I would have grouped them in one place. I would like to find some nice relay sockets, have not had any luck so far. I have a box of 3-15 volt trigger -40 amp solid state relays I saved on a nite club remodel. I moved from Daytona to Tampa and they are in storage somewhere.

That is a lot of work!!

I just got a LED Light from the Pilot truck stop and ran a wire from the front turn signal light to the LED on the side then ground it to the body.
