Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Block Heater Noise

I don't know if my hearing has suddenly improved or not, but the last couple of days I can hear my block heater when my truck is plugged in. It may be the fact the wind is no longer howling but I don't remember it making noise during previous winters. I don't think the cummins has a circulation pump built into the block heater, but it may. Basically, I am wondering if anyone else can hear their block heater running or if I should go pick up a replacement to have on hand in the event it is trying to tell me something??

Mark - A hissing or gurgling sound is normal - Just means it working .

It will take you a few years longer for you to discover, as I have discovered in fifty-four years of marriage, that no matter how acute their hearing may be most of the time, husbands are quite deaf in that certain frequency that wives speak!:-laf Anyhow, that's what my dear wife says.
