I have an 03 high output and when I plugged it in last winter the only thing that seemed to get heated was the grid heater. Is there a heater a heater in the block? Where can I get the part number for one so I can have my dealer install one. What size are availble? Thanks for the help
if you had a cord to plug in, then you already have a block heater. It is totally different from the grid heater. The grid heater is in the intake. The block heater goes in one of the freeze plug holes and as noted above is right near the oil filter.
You will also hear a gurgling sound when you first plug in the cord, or at least I do. It's not real loud or anything, just listen with hood up an you'll know what I'm talking about. This sound let me know that the heater was working ok.
