Mopar SB Heads- 302 swirl port...Help??

Rent/Ride ATV in Cali-need local info

I leave my block heater plugged in all the time if the temperature is under 40 . I have had no problem with coolant evaporation and sure makes it heat up faster. A friend has a 93 250 and he plugs his in 30 mins. before driving. He says that it should not be on all the time,it's harmful to the truck. I had a Ford 250 with the 6. 9 before I got my Dodge. I also left it plugged in and had no trouble. So who's right?

My truck is a 98 quad cab 24 valve 5 speed 3500, great truck. I"ve put 132000 on it so far and I'm looking to go at least 300000.

Thank you

It won't hurt the truck a bit. It will only hurt your electric bill. It's like having 15 100watt light bulbs on the whole time. A timer works nicely for block heaters.
