Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Block Heater

Just curious, i am looking to buy a 12 valve from the south and was wondering if all of them came from the factory with a block heater or if they only came on the trucks in the colder regions of the United states. thanks

I believe they all came with a heater, some of the newer ones don't have the cord.

yup my truck came from texas the heater is going to be coiled up behind the passenger side headlight

Seems to me they were an option. Mine was put on at the dealer.

My 1995 definately has one up here!! Brrr... I think most have the actual heater, it is the cord that is the question.

My pump made that anoying ticking noise forever. It got so bad that you could hear it even from the fuel tank. I changed the mechanical pump out in favor of an electric unit, and the noise went away. I would not worry about it too much, mine never quite working. If you can stand the noise, just leave it alone!
