Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) block heater ?

if i plug my truck in it always acts up, the gauges and transmission shifts weird it only happens when i plug it in,do you think the blockheater is somehow shorting out the pcm or ecm or is it something else, i only plug it in when it gets below zero,or is it just the cold? also my power steering pump groans when its cold. thanks

Heater- What kind of shape is your cord in for the heater or extention cord?



Power steering- Need to change the fluid.

Yeah, my power steering groans like crazy for at least 45 min. if I dont plug it in when it is in the single digits here but runs fine otherwise .
