How many watts are our block heaters and how many amps do they pull? TIA

like 700 watts so figure like 7, 100 watt light bulbs

Watts divided by Volts= Amps



So, if the wattage of the heater is 750 divided by 120 volts = 6. 25 Amps.

Ok, thats what I was checking. I was having trouble with my generator the other night at a truck pull. It ran it in Georgia but Friday night it kept cutting out. It wouldnt blow the breaker but would take all the load off. I ran it on my 03 and it did the same thing, so I know my heater isn't bad. Must be something with the generator. Time for warranty. By the way, the generator is rated at 900 watts continous. That should still be enough right?

Bad breaker on generator? Moisture in somewhere it shouldn't be? Corrosion or some other bad connection anywhere that might cause it to overheat and trip?
