Blocking the wastegate Update: vid added

Installed my gauges and noticed that I was only getting 10-12lbs of bosst at like 2300-2500RPMs. Well found that my reference tube of the intake broke behind the exhaust manifold. Well all I could do at the time was plug wastegate and broken end of tube. How bad is this going to hurt me? I am stock fueling. I am palnning to fix it and also I notice it does not go more than 20-22lbs. Just do not want to hurt the truck. Pyro is not in yet, having issues with it. Side note: I could not get my DP bolts loose, so I just cut it off and drove home. :--) is all I can say about the sound. I got a vid clip I will try to post.

Unless you've installed a GSK (it's not in your sig) you aren't fueling much past 2100rpm anyway. At 2200rpm and WOT my boost drops below 20psi and just keeps dropping. Without fuel you don't have enough heat energy to spin the turbo anymore.

Thats what it is then... Pin it to the floor and watch your boost gauge. It will build up until it hits the Gov and then with drop quickly as the motor tachs beyond 2200.

If you are stock and the Wastgate is not functioning, then you are in no danger of hurting it.

My plate is slid forward just a bit and only sees 25psi max. with the wastegate unplugged.

I did not think it would hurt anything with stock fueling. What is the best way to hook the reference line back up? Going to slide plate forward and have timing set next week. Thanks for the replies guys.
