Blow by drips

I was wondering if you guys notice drips off oil from blow by tube when your truck is sitting. Mine has all ways seemed to this more in summer. I don't know if this is good,bad or just normal?

I think it is normal. At least it is on my machine although the only time I really notice it is when I crawl under to change oil. Never paid any attention to any changes summer to winter but it makes sense that it would be more in the summer. I also think there was another thread about this in this forum not too long ago.

I've got drips from the blowby tube and puddles from the rear seal. They're not half as bad since I replaced the oil fill cap with a breather cap though!

I get drips on my 01' at times too.

Mine started after the 1st 100,000.

jsimpson, where did you get the "breather" cap? Thats the way they were back in the "olden days"

Mine too. Although it never seems to effect the oil level between oil changes.

You can get a "Catch Can" from www.summitracing.com for about 20 bucks to eliminate any drips if it becomes a problem.
