Blow by tube.. mists my transmission

There is a tube on the drivers side of my motor exiting at the oilpan level (Ill call it a blow by tube for my lack knowledge of what it is really called),that oil mist and drops of oil come out of... the truck is brand new,,about 500 miles... already there is a fine mist on the inspection plate my transmission... is this normal?

Every CTD I have owned has done this, my remedy is to extend the hose a few inches beyond the area being coated with oil.

Yes, it's completely normal. Mine made such a mess that it looked like the rear main seal was leaking.

have chrysler install the catch bottle works great no more oil see other post here about blow by tube

A new truck has more blow by and smell. After the rings are seated it will be less but still there.

Extend the Hose.....
