I'm getting a lot of oil dripping out my vent tube, I assume this is blowby.

When I had my injectors out (less than 1000 miles ago) I did a compression test. All cyl's were within 20#'s of each other, and they were all around 500#.

Anythoughts as to why I'm suddenly getting lots of oil out the breather?

Vaccuum leak is usually the first thing to check. Thats what it ends up being 90% of the time.

The vaccuum pump discharges into the crankcase, so when there is a leak its like a small pump pressurizing your crankcase.

Any easy way to check for vacume leaks on a Diesel? I know on a gasser you just spray carb cleaner around... revs go up, you've found leak. Anything like that on these?

may be off on this a bit, but I'm thinking if you hook a vacuume gauge up on any of the small vacuume hoses, you should see 15 or more inches of vacuume. Indicating no leaks.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct

Sorry, forgot to get back to this post. Felt around on all the vaccume lines, found a big crack in the line going to (from) the cruise control (another problem fixed). Replaced the line and no more gushing from the breather tube.

Thanks for the info.
