I have a 2002 with 8,000 miles on it. I've always smelled the blow by and have discussed it before on here. The engine doesn't use oil, or very little but I can see the smoke from the blow by, especially at night with the headlights on (when I'm stopped). I'm wondering if anyone else sees smoke?

I'm not sure if it's 'smoke', but I do see some kind of vapor coming out of mine. This truck does it more than my last one, but not enough that I'm worried about it.

If your truck is not using oil or running bad I wouldn't worry about it.

P. S. I have about 21k on mine.

The smoke in your headlights when you come to a stop is normal. If you haven't already, you should relocate your blowby bottle or do what I did and remove it. I did what many tdr members did by removing the bottle and extending the hose approx 18 inch straight down. I used heater hose ( buy at any auto parts store) with a id of 3/4 inch I believe. If you do this you will not get the diesel smell in the cab, and your engine will stay clean. Hope this helps.
