Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Blow off valve

Can you put a blow off valve on a 12 valverand it will work? I see people with 03's doing this and I would love the sound on my 96 if it would work. Also who has them and where can you buy one?

When you chop the throttle real fast when your under medium to high boost te pressure backed up in your intercooler tends to rush back through your compressor housing making a huffing sound,Its your compressor wheel trying to spin backwards and it will eventually break the shaft or bend it badly.
The blow off valve relieves the pressure as soon as you let off the thottle so it doesent back up. .
I lost a HX-40 turbo that way during a burnout ,I let off too quickly!!!!!!
Theres a thread called B&D antibark valve in products and accesories. .

A BOV is for releasing over boost, when the wastegate is not large enough to release all the pressure to keep from over pressurizing the engine. An anti bark valve is for releasing pressure to keep the pressure in the intercooler and hoses from reversing direction back to the turbo.
