Do diesels use these? I have heard plenty a ricer using them, but my g/f and I both think they sound pretty cool. Do they prevent turbo bark? Do they do anything for diesels? I know it's an expensive noise maker if it doesn't help the engine, but... . thought I would ask :)

I think BD sells a 'turbo guard' for the Cummins motors, which helps with the turbo barking. most un-modded trucks dont need them, though, and yes, they do sound good

hope this helps

I have the BD Turbo Guard (BOV) and it is to protect the turbo from barking mainly. It does sound cool and I can force a Psssst, Psssst, Psssst with a hard throttle to about 40psi boost and let off the throttle. Not as loud as the ricers at the track, at least not over the sound of the Cummins roaring.
