Hey Guys,

I changed oil (Premium Blue) & filter (FRAM) about 1500 miles ago (truck has 5300+ miles on it now). Yesterday coming back from Denver I pulled into to our shop. Went to leave and all of a sudden oil pressure went away. Shut it down immediately. Appears the gasket on the filter was deformed and was blowing out oil. I had checked the oil that morning and it was fine. Seemed to happen real sudden. Engine seems fine, still had some oil left in the crank case. At first I thought the filter split somewhere or the turbo oiler had ruptured. Anyway, put a new mobil 1 filter (says it has 9X system pressure rating) on it and swapped out all the oil. Anyone every had any experience like this??? My '93 split a fleetguard one time dumped oil all over the daycare ladies driveway. I think it took about 4 trips to get the concrete clean enough to where she wasn't to unhappy!

Thanks,

Scott.

I had that happen when using any cheap filter: Fram, K-mart, Target, etc. . Don't use them!!! They will cost you way more than the few pennies you save!

Don't use Fram filters they are junk... Do some research on this website. You picked a good filter Mobli 1 . Use the Fleetguard from Geno's Garage. They are recommended by Cummins.
