Was wondering if anyone has done an upgrade to the blower motor in a 1st gen? Mine is weak blow's ok but i need more power!!!!!! if someone had done it what motor is it what did it come out of and the part# if possible..... thank you for the help guy's Jason

Jason--Just replaced my blower motor today,it was making a little noise at high speed. At high speed I get lots of air maybe your problems are in the speed control switch. dont know if its a reostat or what. Had to go to 4 auto parts stores to get right one. Murray climate control # 35474 at O'Reilly. Bob

check to see if it has an aftermarket fan on it a lot of the time the aftermarket universal one will be a littel bit smaller diameter wheel and makes a big differance in air output.

Blower motor speed is controled by a resistor pack that is mount on the inside passenger fire wall. Drop the glove box all the way down and you can see it mounted high on the fire wall. Normally when they fail the blower will run at high speed no matter where the speed control is set.

Is the resistor pack in the plenum or actually on the firewall? I just replaced the blower motor due to an acrid burning plastic smell coming out of the vents. It seems to have fixed it(?)
