Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Blowing Electric Door Lock Switch Fuse

I keep replacing 20 amp fuses for the door lock switch. The fuse blows only when the the left door lock switch is pushed to unlock the doors. I've replced the left door lock switch after testing it per the service manual but the problem persists.



Has anyone experienced this problem and what was your solution?

Mine did htis just before the lock on the passenger rear door quit working. The wire in the door had severed. Its in the bundle where the wire comes form the body to the door. Others have had the issue, some shorted some didnt. I found mine after reading a post on here.

My driver side rear door lock stopped working with the automatic opener control, can anyone tell me which color wire is the one that operates it. I've had the panel off once but couldn't find the problem. Thanks.
