Has anyone else had the bulbs to blow in this gauge? If so, did you find replacements? I haven't been able to get a number on these to start looking.

blown bulbs

Thanks Sean,

I have been surfing and found my bulbs at Farnell.com. Their catalog has pictures of many of the parts they sell and these are definitely the bulbs. They have them, but I really don't want to order from England! Farnell is the owner of Newark Electronics these days, so I tried there. They don't have any in stock and say there is a 30 day wait. They also don't have pictures, so I can't be sure I'm looking at the same bulb.

Walmart

Got mine at Walmart. They had 2 packs and I bought both of them. Napa, Auto Zone and the other auto parts stores should have them also. If that fails TST has them for about $3. 00.

found the bulbs

I e-mailed geno's garage and they had the bulbs. I've ordered a box of ten in case they don't last any longer than the originals.

In Big Saints post he has a link to another thread on the subject of these bulbs. Drawson referenced bulb #37. I found these at NAPA, but they are not the bulbs that were in my gauges. They were 12 volt 2 watt, but the base was different. I wonder if Di Pricol has changed sockets, or if they use more than one type.

I don't know what the number is for the bulbs I ordered, but I will post it here when they arrive.

Meanwhile, I temporarily rigged a white LED from Radio Shack into the base of one of my originals so I would have some light in the boost gauge. N0t bad, but not perfect. It has a bluish caste and directs most of the light forward in a cone, but serviceable for now.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Something I didn't consider

When I purchased my Di P. boost gauge from TST back in Aug. 2000, it came as a 0-60 gauge. Now they are 0-30, I believe. Perhaps they changed the bulbs as well ????
