I seen a few posts about this , but do have much remembered .
You should give info on his truck for some good answers , yr , mod , ect .

Yep, it's the head gasket. That's where mine popped. There's an oil feed going to the head for the rockers that passes up the front passenger side of the block. If compression gets out of that cylinder, it'll rip right through that journal and take the headgasket material with it. And chances are there is gasket material stuck in the rocker pedistals preventing proper lubrication to the rockers at this point, too. Make sure they get cleaned out during the repair.

Have a look here for an earlier post and a picture about my HG failure.

Ok yea that sounds like what it is, he has some decent mods done and I told him he needs o-rings or something. He has a 2000 24v with a nv5600 w SBDD 3850, he has ARP 12mm head studs, new head gasket, II SPS66, Sheid HRVP44, Edge Jammer Stage 5s, Flow Tubes, Edge Juice w Attitude (Edge soon to be replaced with a TST PM3) stacked w a Smarty, FASS 150, S&B intake, and a 4in straight pipe to 5in miter stack.
