Blown HX40, need a 4"exhaust v clamp

I live in Durant Oklahoma now and last week the 40 split in half so I pulled the 12cm housing off and put the stock hx40 on now I need to change my down pipe and Im not sure if I will be able to find a 4" v clamp around here any suggestions? I am waiting on a new turbo from Pius at bell turbo something that will hold up because these turbos don't seem to live

I got a V clamp at Freightliner here in Austin for about $10. 00.

I left one at Floor It's shop (its brand new) all my latest turbos have 4. 5" outlets, so I don't need it pay shipping if ya want it overnight and its yours, if push comes to shove I am sure he could ship it to you? If you can't find one locally. Let me know.

A Cummins facility will have the clamp. That or

try Freightliner or Cat. Pius has an H2E that belongs to me. Just rebuilt too. He could put a smaller housing on it and you would have a hard time busting that turbo.

Thanks for all the info I found an exhaust shop to do the down pipe since my shop is min away and also found a truck parts place that had the flange and the clamp so I will be back in buisness today I hope but you never cqan tell with these guys around here some of them are not to mechanicly enclined good to hear from the old HVAC and everyone else. Hopefully pius can set me up with a new, better turbo but for now this one will have to do

wiz1--sorry to hear of the troubles, but it sounds like you may have it under control---now what you need to do is paint that ol' dodge green with a John Deere logo to boot and the mechanics will be popping out of the ground like ground hogs in March--they're not used to working on a low slung tractor that looks like a truck... ... chris

I was over at Bell Turbo picking up a refurbished Holset, and Pius said he shipped you a turbo.

BTW,I usually have downpipes with 4" collars if you get hung up.



So, are you going to stay back there forever?

well it looks like we are staying out here,( I need to help these guys get up on this whole horsepower thing they have no clue about the finer points of bombing) I bought 2. 5 acres with a veiw of the lake and we are in the process of getting the house stuff together, the buisness stuff is going well the weather back here is pretty wild we have thunderstorms back here that will make you head pop, and Chris you are right the mechanics back here are well lets say a little anequated to say the least but I will get it fixed I rigged the down pipe last night with a flat exhaust clamp to get it to run. My wife will be driving it for a while till the parts show up from Pius thats right I cant find the right clamp out here everyone just looks at me with this stupid look on their face and asks me how come that isn't the factory turbo and why did you build a 4" exhaust:--) anyway I need to get to work I may be calling you Nowell if I need that pipe I think I still have your number if not I will email you.

Have you tried or do you know about any of the places here in Oklahoma City that might have them, there are several truck parts places on I-40 as it goes throught the city. Also Cummins might have one Cummins Southern Plains Inc. is 405-946-4481. This is no small town place but they did have to ask why I wanted such a big air filter, also figured there would be some place in Ardmore that would have one. PM me or E-mail me if you need me to call around here for you -- email address removed --. As for the weather in Oklahoma, you haven't seen anything yet wait till next month.

hi wiz, i'm glad to see you made it safe back there. say hi to your wife. sorry to hear about that turbo. i think you just need bigger turbo, or maybe triplets, thats next isn't it guys??





i think brandon got some new girlfriends him and my dad went to canada for 1 week, not back yet. hopefully he is coming back.
