i am looking for info from others who are having issues with injectors blowing out and leaking fuel into the motor. im in a lemon law dispute with dodge. thay have replaced all my injectors 4 times. and now my turbo has so much end play it wont spool up. the oil has benn so thined out from the diesel in the oil so many times . and i have had to run it like that to get back home. my concern is that the engine will never be right again. dodge is trying everything thay can to put the blame on me . from running red diesel to the cat and muffler being cut out. my fuel rail psi will not break 19000psi even with a edge box/ and mt boost will not top 20psi. thay claim im an isolated case. help me out guys. .

They replaced damaged injectors under warranty, even though you have a pressure box??

You are trying to lemon law your truck for bad injectors even though you've added a pressure box??????

Good Luck Man :)

added box after the injectors were replaced just to see what diffrence there was and 4 testing. never had on it before. problems are bone stock

If you are such an isolated case, why not just do the right thing and replace the engine? Or the truck?

Keep fighting them if you are in the right, and it sounds like you are. The burden of PROOF is on them. They must prove it was something you did, and again, it doesn't sound like you did anything.

Expect the fight to continue, they don't give up easily. Contact the BBB and go to arbitration. You can beat this.

Unfortunately every other post on here is a warranty problem and Dodge not replacing the parts or truck as the case may be. What I have learned is that anything seen as a performance mod will void the warraty. And even if your truck was bone stock, they will not believe you.

Well in that case, it sounds like you have a real lemon, or a real bad service department, or both.

I would want them to replace the whole engine at this point.

Matt

dodge is now telling me the turbo is sloppy because i chopped the cat out and the rpm's were to high and worn the shaft. im not new to the world of diesel motors. but could anybody give me some input on the turbo rpms damage. never had a problem b4. on cutting the cat out on 9 other dodge trucks.

Funny... . My 2003 Dodge didn't come with a cat. The turbo isn't sloppy after nearly 100k miles. Besides I think the turbo is wastegated, meaning if the factory electronics were working it would be limited to a certain amount of boost and therefore impeller speed.

The biggest issue you face is that you have changed the truck from its original configuration. They will probably try all sorts of stupid excuses, like the one above, to deny warranty work. Removing the convertor was illegal but, there is no way that alone caused a turbo failure.

The wastegate is controlled by the ecm, so the wastegate should still be opening at the same psi. I believe it should be a fixed rate x-psi should = x-rpm. Theoretically your truck could produce more power/boost by removing the cat, but it wouldn't be enough to overcome the stock wastegate.

For you to blow four injectors and fill the crankcase with oil is very hard to believe if you are stock. I can see one, but for you to blow four it sure sounds like you have a pressure box on it. Either that or you have the worst luck in the world. There have been a few bad injectors on stock trucks, but your situation would be hard to believe. Best of luck, your going to need it.

My '89 didn't come with a cat from the factory either :/

Turbo is fine, even while pushing higher boost than the stock 18psi for 50,000 miles

Are you doing the lemmon law yourself or a lawyer? My 03 was lemmoned and I went through a lawyer and it took 3 months! If you are doing it yourself you are going nowhere. Get a lawyer and let them have it.

What the crap man! The guy just needs some help, not a sermon.

Exactly the reason I don't come around here as often as I used to..... To many "Hollyer than Thou's" now days!!!!!

I would like to echo the post that mentioned going thru a lawyer for the Lemon Law. They seam to get it done in a more timely manor and save you many bottles of Tylonol!

thanks for all the input. i spoke with a legal rep for dodge today/thay are fixing the truck. i sent them pics of 05/o6 3500rams with no cats from the factory. right off of maxwell dodge lot here in austin. the rep was speechless. and i touched on the comp controlled turbo issue. and no im not using a lawyer. did a lemon law case for a friend took it all the way to court dodge cratered 10 mins before we were to start, if you have the facts right and there true the state of texas is on your side the whole way.

What are they doing exactly to "fix" the truck? New engine?

Now that I would like to see for myself. Can you post those pictures? I was under the impression that ALL '05/'06 trucks had convertors.
