No Drugs Gene :)

We havent found the cause yet.

The head gasket failed which may have caused the damage but its hard to tell as the temp guage wasnt working at the time so were not sure what the water temps were at the time of failure.

It could be a water leak or water pump failure or etc.....

I have a spare engine so we are going to do a swap and work on figuring it out later during a rebuild of the damaged engine.

Gene, its funny you were thinking drugs because the engine we are going to be swaping into this truck is the one that "has" had the drugs on it... LOL.

All in all if you are going to run lots of fuel this could happen.

You pay your money you take your chances.

If anyone has a theory I would like to hear it??

Can't wait to "rebuild" this one as it won't be "stock" :) Piers cam, etc...

I'll have to call the "man" and discuss this with him. Now what to tell the wife????Hummmmmm

LOL, I'll do just that :)

We are going to O-ring the head and block and install a Piers cam since we have it out.

Still curious !!!!

You really have me wondering !! It sounds like you have not found the cause for the blow up yet. . I notice you had done some mods. Did you happen to have the timing advanced ??

If so, by how much ??

Thanks.

Sled puller defnitely has the right advice for the wife. The only key to making it stick is to be able to get everything at once. Once the thing fire's up and drives you'll be on hold for a whileQQ
