Check engine light came on and the beast would not go over 40 MPH. Took it to the dealer and he replaced the MAP sensor and disconnected my Blue Box (older) from the MAP sensor connector. He said that the Blue Box was causing the error. When checking his work I see that the red wire was pulled from the spade connector from the Blue Box, I don't know if the tech did this or this is what caused the original problem. So do I, reconnect the red wire, reconnect the MAP sensor to the Blue Box and take my chances or is there another way to check this with out causing a problems.

FDIESEL,

I'd give Chip at Blue Chip a call, but first I'd check your fuel pressure from the lift pump. If you do not have a permanent guage you can rig a temporay guage taped to the windshield or zip tied to the wiper, then test pressure at WOT. Ten or twenty dollars will buy hardware store fittings, line and a 0-15 lb guage. Knowing that you have good fuel pressure is an important step in solving performance problems. Let us know how you fare. Larry
