HAHAH... Doug, the purveyor of PSD's impressed by a little Cummins in a Dodge? Naw. You could stop his heart and he'd say nothing more than it smokes an aweful lot.

#ad

Frankly, someone needs to race him, with them being anonymous, him in his chipped (with the off-road chip, disables the governor!!!) PSD, and him be left in the dust. BTW, just so you know... his truck can get just about 85 or so in the 1/4 mile. Since he's got little skinny hard meats on it, he can spin them off the line, and thinks it's awesome #ad

Actually, I just wish I had the money to own my own "C" powered Ram. The old 12Valvers required very little money to generate quite a bit of ponies. But, that not being the case, there's little chance of him ever confronting a seriously warmed up Dodge. I doubt he would race you... He avoids anything he's not sure he can win #ad

Oh, yeah, you've never seen me drive, so you don't know, but i'm familiar with doing 4 wheel drifts in large 4 door sedans. I autocrossed a 318 Powered Diplomat Police Car. Was a hoot and a half. Nothing like besting the time of some guy in his pony Cobra who's though up till now he's invincible #ad
Since it was so much bigger and under-tired, I had to learn to drive with the smooth touch and tighter precision than most. It would be fun to drive your truck on a track too #ad

Evan, put a link to my site on yours NWP #ad

Power Wagon, I hope to stop by your place of business to stitch your pals facial sphincter closed. At least where negative Cummins commints are concerned. I hope to purchase some tires and wheels this week, the rear suspension is seriousley challenged at this point #ad

HVAC,
What were you doing in Kellogg? Buying a truck from Dave Smith? Is there a dyno in Kellog? I'm 3 hours away in Missoula, looking for a dyno, before I begin any Bombing. Need a baseline!

My typing is bad. Several bones in my left wrist are in little pieces. I will not be joiniung a rodeo circuit anytime sooon!

My Blue Box came with the ability to set the turbo lag so that you can control the amount of smoke. I have mine set on zero delay and have yet to see my first "Smoke Signals"

It would be great to meet ya! If you need help in finding us, I give out good directions #ad

BTW, I was wondering how this thread is on-topic anywhere... us unruly posters have covered products, events, general diesel, other, chapters and probably some forum posts #ad

LATER!

Power Wagon,

This thread sets a new standard for Multi-Forum transfers. Either it's multi-topical or just long-lived, but it has been moved AGAIN--to its FOURTH forum #ad

Started in the 2nd Generation Ram trucks forum (now defunct) which then became 12V trucks fourm. Then it got tossed to the 24V forum for a few days, then Mike moved it here to the Products forum. Been fun chasing this one all over the place #ad

Admiral, I drove up to Kellogg to meet Dr. "P" at the event at Dave Smith's. Things did not go well unfortunately and the repercussions have sent me into the 500 horsepower range without the good doctor's help #ad
Beyond that I am doing upgrades here in the Bay Area trying to get my own diesel related business going. I plan to have a booth at May Madness, see ya there.

My my my, it's fun digging up dusty old threads and reading newbee posts of TDR veterans, right hvac? The landscape has changed a lot since August 1999, many have come and gone, it's been fun looking back on posts by CMECHANIC, bmann, Scott1, porky, to name a few. I'm going to guess there was maybe 300 members when HVAC started this thread. It's good to reminisce occasionally and see how far we've come in our quest to BOMB #ad

Your so nostalgic Vaughn #ad

Goin' on two years and I'm still on the same project, catching Dr. P. I'm getting closer, but I'm trying to reach 700 with the oem VP44 pump #ad

We have seen some good folks fall off the radar screen haven't we Vaughn? Well, I guess some are only attending junior BOMB college (2yrs). Me, I'm here to get my degree #ad

Becarefull, messing with Pete. Now that he's a reformed BOMBalholic, I hear he's so tuff he'll eat the bugers outta a dead man's nose !!! Name that movie ?
Sorry, Pete. Couldn't resist the temptation #ad

I have no idea what this has to do with Blue Boxes #ad

Gary, the only problem with the new dirt was speading it all over the planet #ad

..... Pete

Were we talking about blue boxes????????????

Well since Bob Wagner is digging up old posts I thought I'd dig this oldie up again. You could call it "HVAC's First BOMB" or "Where HVAC went bad" or something to that effect ;) This thread even predates the BOM acronym, let alone "BOMB. "

Check out those signatures on the first page. I don't know what ever became of that Intense Blue 4x4 on my sig. I was just a dreamer in those days!! :D

WOW!!

i've always had a thing for history, but geez this is great. wait a minute while i get a towel to dry behind my ears... there... nope, still wet back there. a great story of a good guy gone "BAD?"

Oldies, But Goodies

I think you and I are the only ones that enjoy these early threads Vaughn:(
